These terms and conditions of sale apply to all orders placed on mydoggrip.com by consumers. By placing an order, you confirm that you have read and accepted them. They are available at any time at the bottom of every page of the site.

2. Products
MyDogGrip sells walking harnesses for dogs, including a model that can be personalised with a patch embroidered with the dog’s name. The essential characteristics (materials, sizes, colours, instructions for use) are shown on each product page. Photos are as accurate as possible; colours may vary slightly depending on your screen.
Choosing the size is your responsibility: measure your dog’s chest girth and compare it with the model’s size chart. If in doubt, write to us before ordering. The harnesses are designed for walks on the lead: they are not intended for lifting the dog, restraining it in a car or pulling sports.
3. Prices
Prices are shown in euros, including all taxes. Delivery costs are shown before the order is confirmed, on the Shipping page and at the payment step. The applicable price is the one displayed when the order is placed.
4. Ordering
To order, you choose the model, colour, size and, for the personalised harness, the type of patch and the name to be embroidered. You then check your basket, enter your details and delivery address, choose the delivery method and pay. Before paying, you can check the details and total price of your order and correct any errors.
The contract is concluded when you confirm payment. You then receive a confirmation email summarising your order. The name is embroidered exactly as you entered it: check the spelling before confirming.
We may refuse or cancel an order in the event of an existing dispute with the customer, suspected fraud or an unavailable product; in the latter case, you are refunded without delay.
5. Payment
Payment is made online when ordering, using the methods offered at the payment step, through Shopify’s secure payment solution. Your account is charged when the order is confirmed. We never have access to your full bank details.
6. Delivery
We deliver to France, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway and the countries listed on the Shipping page, at the rates shown there. Delivery is free to France and Europe, with no minimum order.
Timing: orders are usually prepared within 3 days and then handed to the carrier; transit time depends on the destination and the delivery method chosen. If no date or timeframe is given when ordering, the product is delivered no later than 30 days after the contract is concluded (Article L216-1 of the French Consumer Code). If this deadline is not met, you may ask us to deliver within a reasonable additional period and, failing that, terminate the contract and be refunded (Articles L216-6 and L216-7).
The risk of loss or damage passes to you when you take physical possession of the product (Article L216-4). For deliveries outside the European Union, customs duties or local taxes may be charged on receipt; they are payable by the recipient.
7. Right of withdrawal
You have 14 days from receipt of your order to withdraw, without giving any reason (Article L221-18). To do so, tell us of your decision before the end of this period using the contact form, by email, or with the model withdrawal form in the appendix and on the Returns and refunds page.
You then return the product, complete and in its original condition, no later than 14 days after informing us of your decision. Return costs are payable by you, unless the product is faulty or does not match your order (Article L221-23).
We refund all sums paid, including the original delivery costs (except any extra charge for a delivery method more expensive than standard delivery), no later than 14 days after being informed of your withdrawal. The refund may be withheld until we receive the product or proof of its dispatch (Article L221-24). It is made using the payment method used for the order. You may be liable for any loss in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to try the product (for example a harness used on walks, dirty or damaged).
Exception: the patch embroidered with your dog’s name is made to your specifications. It is excluded from the right of withdrawal (Article L221-28, 3°). The harness carrying it can be returned, while you keep the removable patch. A harness ordered with the MyDogGrip logo patch or the blank patch can be returned complete.
8. Size exchange
If the size is not right, write to us within 14 days of receipt, before sending anything back, with your order number and the size you want. You return the harness at your own expense, in its original condition; we send the new size with free delivery, subject to stock availability. Full details are on the Returns and refunds page.
9. Legal guarantees
All our products are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity (Articles L217-1 to L217-32 of the French Consumer Code) and the legal guarantee against hidden defects (Articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code), under the conditions set out below. To use them, write to us with your order number and, if possible, a photo of the defect.
The consumer has two years from delivery of the goods to invoke the legal guarantee of conformity if a lack of conformity appears. During this period, the consumer only has to prove that the lack of conformity exists, not when it appeared.
The legal guarantee of conformity entitles the consumer to repair or replacement of the goods within thirty days of the request, free of charge and without major inconvenience.
If the goods are repaired under the legal guarantee of conformity, the original guarantee is extended by six months. If the consumer requests repair but the seller imposes replacement, the legal guarantee of conformity starts again for two years from the date of replacement.
The consumer may obtain a price reduction while keeping the goods, or end the contract and receive a full refund on return of the goods, if: 1. the seller refuses to repair or replace the goods; 2. the repair or replacement takes place after thirty days; 3. the repair or replacement causes major inconvenience to the consumer, in particular where the consumer permanently bears the cost of taking back or removing the non-conforming goods, or the cost of installing the repaired or replacement goods; 4. the lack of conformity persists despite the seller’s unsuccessful attempt to remedy it.
The consumer is also entitled to a price reduction or to end the contract where the lack of conformity is so serious that it justifies an immediate price reduction or termination; the consumer then does not have to request repair or replacement first. The consumer is not entitled to end the sale if the lack of conformity is minor.
Any period during which the goods are out of use for repair or replacement suspends the remaining guarantee period until the repaired goods are returned.
These rights result from Articles L. 217-1 to L. 217-32 of the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation).
A seller who obstructs the legal guarantee of conformity in bad faith is liable to a civil fine of up to 300,000 euros, which may be increased to 10% of average annual turnover (Article L. 241-5 of the Code de la consommation).
The consumer also benefits from the legal guarantee against hidden defects under Articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code, for two years from discovery of the defect. It entitles the consumer to a price reduction if the goods are kept, or to a full refund on return of the goods.
10. Liability
We cannot be held liable for use that does not follow the instructions on the product page, incorrect fitting of the harness, normal wear and tear or damage caused by the animal. A harness does not replace supervision of the dog or loose-lead training. Check the straps, stitching and buckles regularly, and stop using a damaged harness.
11. Personal data
The data collected when you order is used to process it, deliver it and provide customer service. How it is processed and your rights are described in our privacy policy and our cookie policy.
12. Customer service and complaints
For any question or complaint, contact us using the contact form or at linademarchand@gmail.com, quoting your order number.
13. Consumer mediation
If a dispute is not resolved after a written complaint to our customer service, you may refer it free of charge to a consumer mediator (Articles L612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code). MyDogGrip’s membership of a mediation scheme is being finalised; the mediator’s details will be given here as soon as it is complete. In the meantime, please send any complaint through the contact form: we always seek an amicable solution.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. This clause does not deprive you of the protection given by the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence. In the event of a dispute, and after an attempt at amicable resolution, the competent courts are those designated by ordinary rules of law.
